Whew! It's over!!!!!

Whew! The holidays are over at last! I love Christmas and the Christmas story, and the colors, and the lights, and the gifts, and even the shopping. But I am glad it's over. I was not able to do much tatting. But boy when I did, I started off again with a bang! I sat myself down and learned to do the split ring. I have put it off only because I thought it would be hard to do. NOT!!! I was surprised at just how simple it is to do. At least it is for me. I tatted a sort of bracelet , and about a yard of just split rings, and also designed a bookmark of split rings in the center and rings and chains along the sides. Now I just have to figure out how to get them posted online for all to see. When I went back to InTatters finally it has all changed and pics can't be added yet. WAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!.I miss looking at other folks' projects!!!!! I have started a Magnolia flower I had found online that Be-Stitched designed. I live in the south where these trees abound. They are beautiful, but VERY messy with leaf loss all day every day! Constantly raking the yard is not fun. So I will make my own bloom that will not wilt. IF we ever get to post pics again I will put mine on too. Go to her site and check it out. It's gorgeous. I may even try to design a leaf to go with it so it will be more authentic.I have also started a thing that was a doily in the beginning. But this round I am putting on now, although it looks like I wanted it to, it is causing it to bowl up. I had cut it off so many times and started again, that now I just don't care. I will keep going and see what it becomes. It is pretty so far.I had wanted to incorporate the newly learned split ring in it somewhere, but haven't as yet done so. I had started the Holly doily that someone had posted. But I put it down and have only made the center and 2 green leaves. Then I downloaded the real pattern from her and have not gone back to see how I did so far. I need to take a vacation now and make myself finish some of these things and figure out how to get them online to share. Well I guess this is about enough for you all to take in. I will get back to my tatting.
